What I’m Reading #9

Zack Kaplan’s “Eclipse” is finally out! And it’s awesome.

This sci-fi thriller takes place in a world where the sun has become deadly. The high concept world building is superb and I can’t wait to read more.

A shape-shifting alien crash-lands on Earth with a mission of retaliation against humankind. I’m intrigued.

Hadrian's Wall

Yup, that’s right – another awesome sci-fi comic.

A murder mystery in space! This retro-futuristic tale is reminiscent of Blade Runner and other dystopian 80’s sci-fi films, but reads like a who-done-it. Must read.

Skybourne – Boom

A modern / very unique take on Arthurian legend. Frank Cho’s “Skybourne” feels like a spy movie with superhero physics. It’s also very action packed and excruciatingly gory at points.

Ghostbusters: DeviationsIDW

Ghostbusters Deviations

What if the Ghostbusters didn’t cross the streams and save the world?

Basically the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man gets bored of wreaking havoc and enlists the help of the Ghostbusters to stop the apocalypse. It reminded me of those classic Marvel ‘What If’ comics in the best way. I really hope IDW does more of these titles in the future.

If you’re a fan of the original “Ghostbusters” movie it’s well worth grabbing for a few laughs.
